Heavy winds have caused more bushfires across Queensland and New South Wales as of Monday, September 9. Officials stated that thousands of hectares of land were affected in both states. More property damage has been reported in New South Wales as a result. An emergency situation has been declared for Peregian Springs and Peregian Beach in Queensland, prompting evacuations in the affected areas.
