The mayor of Baltimore (Maryland state) announced in the evening (local time) on Monday, September 9, that an evacuation notice for the area around the 100 block of East Pratt Street had been lifted after a suspicious vehicle was found in the area at approximately 11:00 earlier in the day. The authorities have confirmed that no bomb was detected. The suspicious vehicle is thought to have been siphoning and storing diesel fuel. Law enforcement officials have completed security checks in the vicinity, and all buildings and streets are open again as of 18:00 on Monday. 

A heightened security presence is to be expected in the affected area over the coming hours.
