Environmental activists have called for protests across Mexico, between Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 28, to draw attention to climate change.

A protest in Mexico City has been scheduled on September 20, at the Universidad Iberoamericana starting at 12:00 (local time).

Rallies associated with the global climate strike movement are scheduled nationwide in other urban centers across the country in the indicated dates.

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of all protests.
