Hundreds of farmers are marching to New Delhi from Uttar Pradesh as of 14:00 (local time) on Saturday, September 21, as part of a protest against low crop prices and unpaid wages. The Delhi police are deployed on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, and have implemented other increased security measures. As of approximately 13:00, local media outlets report heavy traffic on the Gazipur flyover. The group began the march in Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) on Tuesday, September 17, and plan to march to Kisan Ghat in New Delhi. 

A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions, including heavy traffic and road closures, are expected to continue in the coming hours.
