Unions representing Alitalia flight personnel and airport ground staff have announced plans to shorten the duration of a countrywide strike scheduled on Monday, September 23. Participants are now planning to strike between 10:00 and 14:00 (local time) on Monday. They have also called for another countrywide strike on Wednesday, October 9, between 00:01 and at 23:59. The work stoppages are expected to impact domestic and international flights and airport operations across the country.

Flight disruptions, including delays, modified timetables, and last-minute cancelations, are possible during the strike period.
