A convoy of farmers are causing disruption through the highways and roads surrounding The Hague as they make their way to a protest as of the early morning (local time) on Tuesday, October 1. The farmers have mobilized to demand improved agricultural policy. Media reports estimate that hundreds of farmers are participating in the protest, mobilized on hundreds of tractors despite a ban forbidding the vehicle on roadways. Disruptions on the A2, A12, A27, and A28 highways and other roadways have been reported, significantly affecting morning commuter traffic.

Farmers are causing such disruption on their way to a protest scheduled to take place on Tuesday at Malieveld Park in the city as of 13:00. This protest may also affect evening commuter traffic as farmers return.

Significant transportation disruptions are to be expected for a large part of the day in The Hague and its surrounding areas.

Individuals in The Hague and its surrounding areas are advised to monitor the situation, avoid all protests and public gatherings, anticipate transportation disruptions, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
