A railway fire in Berlin has prompted disruptions on subway lines 1 and 3 on Tuesday, October 1. The fire, which took place near Zossener bridge, will prompt disruptions on the two lines for several days due to repairs, which should be estimated on Wednesday, October 3. Replacement bus service between Gleisdreieck and Kottbusser Tor will be implemented as of Wednesday.
In addition, other metro closures will be in effect as of Friday, October 4. The S5 will no longer run between Wuhletal and Ostkreuz stations; the S7 will no longer operate between Ahrensfelde and Nöldnerplatz; the S75, which is already partially interrupted, will be completely eliminated.
Associated traffic disruptions, such as increased traffic, are to be expected in Berlin in the coming several days.
