All flights have been suspended at Benghazi's Benina International Airport (BEN) on Wednesday, October 9, due to sudden cracks in the main runway. Emergency maintenance is ongoing and airport officials announced that flights would be suspended until 08:00 (local time) on Thursday, October 10, when the airport is expected to reopen.

Flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are expected at BEN over the coming hours.
