An explosion has been reported at a garbage disposal facility near Linz Airport (LNZ) in Hörsching on the morning (local time) of Thursday, October 10. At least five people were injured by the blast. The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear, although police said there were indications of a terrorist attack. Details are emerging.

Firefighters are reportedly at the scene to contain the blaze. Austrian authorities have advised local residents to remain indoors with their windows closed.
