Event

Armed separatists reportedly wounded 11 people and kidnapped four others in an attack on a state-owned rubber plantation in Tiko (Southwest region) on Monday night (local time), October 14.

Similar separatist attacks targeting state-owned assets are possible in Cameroon's anglophone Northwest and Southwest regions over the near term.

Context

Advice

Individuals in Cameroon are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests or large gatherings due to the risk of associated violence, remain vigilant, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
