Police conduct evacuation of Brest Airport (BES) following discovery of suspicious package October 18; residual delays possible over the coming hours

Police have conducted an evacuation of the Brest Airport (BES) in Brittany between 07:00 and 08:00 (local time) on Friday, October 18, following the discovery of a suspicious package on a Paris-Orly (ORY)-bound Air France plane. Flight operations have been temporarily suspended as reinforcements were deployed to the airport. Airport services reportedly resumed at around 09:00.

A heightened security presence and residual flight disruptions (i.e. delays and cancelations) are to be expected at BES over the coming hours. 


Travelers flying via BES are advised to confirm their flight reservations and to expect increased security measures at the airport.
