The Central of Unitary Workers (CUT) has scheduled an opposition protest across Colombia on Thursday, November 21, to call for labor and pension reforms. Protests are scheduled in Cartagena, Cali, Medellín, and Bucaramanga, as well as in Bogotá, where protests are expected to begin at 09:00 (local time). While locations were not immediately announced, gatherings and mobilizations are expected in each city.
A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of all protests. Clashes between security forces and protesers cannot be ruled out.
Individuals in Colombia are advised to monitor the situation and developments, avoid all protests as a precaution, and expect transportation delays.
