The Met Office has issued weather warnings for parts of northern England and Wales from 12:00 (local time) on Friday, October 25, through Saturday, October 26. Current forecasts expect heavy rain and possible flooding in several areas, including Cardiff, Swansea, and Leeds.
Weather officials have said that the heavy rain may cause flooding, transport disruptions, and possible power outages in the affected areas.
Individuals in areas forecast to be affected are advised to monitor local weather reports, adhere to instructions issued by local authorities, anticipate adverse weather and power and transportation disruptions, and remember that running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) is enough to knock over an adult - and never drive through flooded streets; floodwater may also contain wastewater and chemical products.
