University students have called for a nationwide protest aimed at denouncing corruption at schools on Thursday, October 31. Acts of corruption flagged at the Universidad Distrital have prompted a nationwide movement to call out those using education resources for other purposes. The most disruptive protests will likely take place in Bogotà, though protests are expected in squares across urban centers.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions are to be expected near all protest sites.

Individuals in Colombia, and particularly in Bogotà, are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
