At least 17 suspected drug traffickers were shot and killed by police in Manaus (Amazonas state) on Wednesday, October 30. The traffickers were reportedly preparing to attack members of a rival cartel when they were intercepted by security forces. According to officials, no police were wounded in the firefight.
