The Patriotic Movement for the Defense of Mali (MPDM) has called for a demonstration to be held in Bamako on Friday, November 1, to denounce the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and the French military presence in the country. Participants are expected to gather at Bourse du Travail at approximately 15:00 (local time). The demonstration has been authorized by government officials.

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected near the protest site.
