The UFO union issued a statement on Monday, November 4, calling for Lufthansa cabin crew members to hold a 48-hour strike from Thursday, November 7, through Saturday, November 9. According to UFO leaders, the strike will affect all Lufthansa flights scheduled to leave from airports in Germany. They also warned that it may impact Lufthansa’s affiliated airlines, including Eurowings and SunExpress. Further information can be found on Lufthansa’s website here.
Flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are anticipated if the strike goes ahead as planned.
A similar strike was held on October 20, led to the cancelation of at least 100 flights. Union leaders claim that that Lufthansa has refused to negotiate over better pay and conditions for cabin crew members.
Individuals flying to or from Germany are advised to monitor the situation, confirm their flight status, and maintain flexible itineraries.
