On Friday, November 1, local authorities have ordered the app-based ride-sharing service Uber to suspend its activity in Geneva state, in light of incompatible taxi laws. The company has 30 days to appeal the decision. Should the administrative court confirm the decision, Uber will cease operations in the area. In the meantime, the company has stated it would continue to operate normally.
