Media reported on Wednesday, November 13, that Members of the Ethiopian National Defence Force, ENDF, have been deployed to Amhara and Oromia regions following fatal clashes between students of both ethnic communities in the Woldiya University (Amhara region) on Saturday, November 9. Two students were reportedly killed, and 14 others injured in the incident. The reasons for the clash remain unclear. Furthermore, a third student was reportedly killed in Dembi Dolo University (Oromia) as tensions rose following Saturday's incident. The violence prompted several demonstrations in both regions.

Further clashes and related protests are possible in the coming hours and days.
