The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued winter weather advisories for nine states in the northeast for Monday, November 18. The warnings affect Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

The NWS states the main concern as spotty light freezing rain/freezing drizzle into Monday morning (local time). Minor coastal flooding is also anticipated along the eastern Massachusetts coast. Further, a wintry mix will move inland and may transition into snow over cities like Albany, New York, and Burlington, Vermont.

Associated transportation disruptions are to be expected over the next several hours in the affected areas.
