Traders protest expected in more than 700 cities November 20; heightened security and localized transportation and business disruptions expected

Traders are expected to protest in more than 700 cities across India on Wednesday, November 20, to denounce perceived unethical and unfair e-commerce practices. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) stated that an estimated seven million traders are expected to mobilize nationwide.

In Delhi, the protest is scheduled to take place in Sadar Bazaar from 11:30 (local time) to 13:30. A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of all protest.


Individuals in India are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all demonstrations and protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
