The Jawaharlal Nehru Students' Union (JNUSU) has called for students and teachers nationwide to observe a day of protest on Wednesday, November 27, to demand affordable education.

In Delhi, a human chain is expected to take place in Connaught Place on Wednesday. Further rallies are likely to take place at different venues nationwide, especially around university campuses. A heightened security presence and significant traffic disruptions are likely in the vicinity of all protests.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Students' Union (JNUSU) has been protesting tuition and hostel fees hikes and other education rights since November 18, mobilizing thousands of protesters. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the Delhi University Students' Union (DUD), and students from universities nationwide have expressed their support.

Individuals in India, especially in Delhi are advised to monitor the situation, avoid all public gatherings as a precaution, budget additional time for travel, anticipate transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
