Independent farmers are set to protest in Dublin on Tuesday, November 26. At least 1000 protesters are expected to gather at Merrion Square from 11:00 (local time) before driving tractors to Leinster House until at least 13:00.

Associated transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are to be expected in the vicinity of the protest. Roadblocks and residual transportation disruptions cannot be ruled out prior to and following the protest.

Context

Independent farmers are protesting perceived neglect of rural Ireland and demanding government to act on six key issues, regarding a carbon tax, protection of family farms, and reform of state agencies.
