A powerful "bomb cyclone" is set to impact northern California state and southern Oregon state beginning Tuesday, November 26, into Wednesday, November 27, bringing blizzard-like conditions with near hurricane-force winds. The center of the low-pressure system is expected to make landfall late Tuesday afternoon (local time) between Crescent City (California state) and Brookings (Oregon state). Wind gusts of 120 kph (75 mph) are expected in some areas and waves of 10.6 m (35 ft) or more could slam the coast. Mountain passes in northern California and southern Oregon could get up to 61 cm (24 in) of snow.

Associated power outages and disruptions to transportation and business services are possible in areas forecast to be affected by the system over the coming days.
