As of Monday, December 2, hazardous air quality levels have again been registered in Tehran, with an air quality reading of 166 at 12:00 (local time). An odd-even traffic control scheme was implemented on Friday, November 30, and is likely to remain in place on Monday. Schools and universities have closed, and outdoor sport matches have been banned until further notice. The situation is expected to improve slightly in the coming days.
