The Rail, Maritime, and Transport (RMT) union announced on Thursday, December 5, that it has suspended strikes by West Midlands Railway staff after a new offer was submitted by management. Workers will consider the new agreement and vote on it in the coming days. If the deal is not approved, previously planned strikes may go ahead as scheduled. Work stoppages were previously planned on the following dates in December:

-Saturday, December 7, between 01:00 until 23:59

-Saturday, December 14, between 01:00 until 23:59

-Saturday, December 21, between 01:00 until 23:59

-Saturday, December 28, between 01:00 until 23:59

Significant transportation disruptions, including train delays and cancelations, are anticipated if the strikes go ahead as planned.


Individuals slated to travel via West Midlands Railway are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate rail service disruptions, and maintain flexible itineraries.
