Civil society groups have called for a gathering in Ouagadougou on Friday, December 13, to commemorate and demand justice over the assassination of journalist Norbert Zongo in 1998. Participants plan to gather at 09:00 (local time) between Place de la Nation and the Bourse du Travail.

A heightened security presence and localized transport disruptions are expected near the gathering.
