The Union of Athens Metro Operational Workers (SELMA) transportation union has called for a 24-hour transportation strike in Athens on Tuesday, December 17, prompting disruptions as of the morning (local time). The strike began at 10:00, and is affecting the Blue lines 2 and 3, tram service, and service on the express bus to Athens Airport (ATH).

Public transportation interruptions are to be expected. Associated localized transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are expected in the vicinity of any associated protests.
