Over 400 people reportedly held a march in central Yangon in the afternoon (local time) of Monday, December 23, to protest police misconducts and to ask legal action to be taken following the reveal of a three-year-old rape victim's identity.

A heightened security presence and residual transportation disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the protest over the coming hours.
