Authorities at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) have suspended all flight operations until 11:20 (local time) on Tuesday, January 7, following a security incident earlier that day. According to airport management, a plane skidded off the runway due to inclement weather at around 09:40, prompting the evacuation of 164 passengers and the runway's closure

Residual flight disruptions are to be expected in the coming hours.
