Police in Freiburg reportedly confirmed the death of at least one person in Neuenburg am Rhein as of Wednesday, January 29, due to Storm Lolita. The individual died in a crane accident caused by strong winds. Several other people across southern Germany were also reportedly injured by the storm. The German weather service issued orange weather warnings (second-lowest on a four-tier scale) at 07:45 (local time) on Wednesday, warning of continued significant weather conditions.
