On Tuesday, February 4, significant disruptions to transportation were reported in western and southern Germany due to strong winds and heavy rains. In Bavaria, falling trees on Munich's S-Bahn services forced the partial closure of lines 1 and 2, while the railway line between Perl and Trier in the Saarland Rhineland-Palatinate states were shut. Deutsche Bahn railway company issued an alert on Twitter urging people to check the scheduled for all train reservations.

Rescue operations were launched in the Oberemmel area (Rhineland-Palatinate state) where homes were flooded, and authorities closed several roads across the district. Additional forces were sent in Stetten am kalten Markt, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, and Waldshut district (Baden-Württemberg state), where infrastructure damage was reported.

Related transportation disruptions, hazardous driving conditions, and power outages are possible in the affected areas over the coming hours and days.
