At least 52 people were injured after a plane crash-landed and burst into flames at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) around 18:19 (local time) on Wednesday, February 5. The plane, which was en route from the city of Izmir, reportedly skidded off the runway and broke apart after crashing into a field. As of Sunday evening, operations at SAW have been suspended, and flights are being diverted to Istanbul Airport (IST). 

Additional flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are possible at SAW over the coming hours.  


Individuals flying via SAW are advised to monitor developments to the situation, confirm flight reservations, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
