Storm Sabine left one person dead in Hesse state and thousands without power across Germany on Monday, February 10, as high winds knocked debris onto roads and railway tracks and downed power lines. Widespread flight and train disruptions were reported in Germany on Monday, and 50,000 homes were reportedly left without power in northern Bavaria state. Falling tree branches left several injured in North Rhine-Westphalia state.

Lingering disruptions to transportation, business, and electricity provision are to be expected in hard-hit areas in Germany over the coming hours.
