French meteorological authorities announced the passage of Storm Inès in several northern departments on Thursday, February 13. Orange warnings for large coastal waves were issued for the Manche, Seine-Maritime, Somme, and Pas-de-Calais departments, while orange alerts for flooding were issued for Eure and Seine-Maritime departments. The alerts will remain in place until 06:00 (local time) on Friday, February 14. Weather officials also stated that fallen trees can be a danger as winds of up to 110 (70 mph) are expected inland and winds of up to 130 kph (80 mph) are expected in coastal areas.

Related transportation disruptions, hazardous driving conditions, and power outages are possible over the coming hours.
