Public transportation employees in Rome will hold a strike on Monday, February 24, affecting the entire ATAC network. This includes buses, trams, metro, and light rail services from 08:30 to 17:00 (local time), and again from 20:00 until the end of the service. Night buses could potentially be affected between Sunday, February 23, and Monday, February 24.

Transportation disruptions and an increased demand for alternative modes of transportation are expected during the strike action.

Transportation-related strikes are frequent in Italy and can be highly disruptive; however, in accordance with Italian law, minimum levels of services must be guaranteed during all industrial and social actions.

Individuals in Rome are advised to monitor developments, anticipate disruptions and an increased demand for alternative transportation methods, and budget extra time to reach their destinations for the duration of the strike.
