A fire broke out at a chemical plant in the Daesan area of Seosan at approximately 03:00 (local time) on Wednesday, March 4. According to initial reports, a compressor at the plant exploded and caused the fire. The incident led to the injury of at least 31 people. Emergency personnel reportedly contained the fire by 05:15, however, the plant has been shut down as a precaution.

A heightened emergency service presence and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated around the area of the incident.


Individuals in Seosan are advised to avoid the area of the accident until the situation normalizes, and obey all instructions issued by the local authorities.
