Two rounds of indirect fire (IDF), possibly mortar rounds, hit Baghdad's International Zone (Green Zone) on Thursday night (local time), March 5. According to local sources, one round landed in the Tigris River while another impacted north of the US Embassy. No casualties were immediately reported. No further details were immediately reported.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are to be expected in the International Zone over the coming hours. Similar attacks targeting the International Zone are possible over the near term.
