On Friday, April 10, one worker at a mine in Soma district (Manisa province) was killed and another was injured when part of the mine collapsed. As of Friday night (local time), two other workers reportedly remain trapped underneath the rubble and rescue operations are still ongoing. The coal mine was not operational but undergoing maintenance at the time of the collapse.
