On Wednesday, May 6, Dutch police reported possible gunfire in the vicinity of Melkdistelstraat in the Kruidenwijk neighborhood of Almere (Flevoland province). No casualties have been reported, and police have cordoned off entry to Kruidenwijk from the south, as well as closing surrounding roads as they search for a potential suspect. Similar incidents took place on Friday, May 1, and Monday, May 4, with two shooting incidents reported on Melkdistelstraat and one in Freyjaplantsoen. A heightened police presence is to be expected as the search for the suspect continues.
