The hostage situation at an Alfa-Bank branch located on Zemlyanov Val Street in central Moscow has been resolved after police stormed the building and arrested the perpetrator on Saturday, May 23. Police sources said that the man released the hostages before the police stormed the building.

The area surrounding the bank remains cordoned off, and residual traffic disruption is to be expected in the area over the coming hours.
