Local media sources report ongoing clashes between opposing groups of protesters and security forces as of 17:15 (local time) on Saturday, June 6, in central Beirut. Reports indicate that anti-government protesters clashed with Amal and Hezbollah supporters, who are opposed to the protest, before being separated by police and military personnel. Amal and Hezbollah supporters allegedly threw rocks at the security forces, who responded with concussion grenades. The anti-government protests are currently centered in Martyr's Square, with the clashes occurring south of the square at the Beirut Ring Bridge.
