Event

A man was killed and two others were injured on Friday, June 12, after Nepalese Armed Police Force members opened fire at a crowd in the Nepal-India border district of Sarlahi (province No. 2). Reports indicate that a large crowd attempted to attack security personnel after a smaller group of traders attempting to enter Nepal from the neighbouring Indian city of Sitamarhi (Sitamarhi district; Bihar state) were turned away.

Further clashes in the area are possible in the near term.
