The US Embassy in Paris issued an alert ahead of scheduled demonstrations to be held in Paris and other major cities, including Nantes and Caen, on Saturday, June 13, against police violence. The alert indicates that various groups in Paris plan to gather at Place de la Concorde and Place de la République. Amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, gatherings of more than ten people remain prohibited in France. Therefore a heightened security presence and associated disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of all demonstrations.

Individuals in France are advised to monitor developments, avoid all protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
