As of 17:30 (local time) on Sunday, June 14, a large fire is reportedly ongoing inside the public market building in Kegalle (Sabaragamuwa province). The cause of the fire is not immediately known and no injuries have yet to be reported.

Emergency services and firefighters are on the scene. Details are emerging. Traffic disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of the market over the coming hours as the area has been cordoned off.
