Thai authorities announced that multiple commemorative events are scheduled to take place across the country on Wednesday, June 24, to mark the 88th anniversary of the 1932 Siamese revolution. Anti-government demonstrations have been reported in several urban centers, including downtown Bangkok and Khon Kaen city, as protesters call for 'full democracy'. As of 0900 (local time) demonstrations have been peaceful. 

A heightened security presence is expected at all demonstrations. Law enforcement officials have been authorized to arrest demonstrators if they do not respect the law.
