A serious incident has been reported in central Glasgow on Friday, June 26. There is a heavy police presence on West George Street and more than a dozen police vehicles are reportedly on scene. It is not clear at this time the nature of the incident, although initial reports indicate three people have been stabbed to death and the perpetrator shot and killed by police; however, full details are yet to be confirmed. West George Street is currently closed to traffic, between Hope Street and West Nile Street, as well as Renfield Street, between West Regent Street and St Vincent Street.
A heightened security presence and disruptions to overland travel are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the incident.
