The General Union of Tunisian Workers (UGTT) has called for a three-day strike by staff from the oil sector in Tataouine governorate on Sunday, July 12, through Tuesday, July 14, following the rejection of the ministerial council on the topic of the El Kamour movement in the governorate. The El Kamour movement has also rejected the decisions of the ministerial council, and some of its members have called for further escalation.

Further demonstrations by the El Kamour movement in the Tataouine governorate are likely in the medium term.
