A collision between a train and a bus near Sheikhupura (Punjab province) left at least 20 people dead and eight others injured on Friday, July 3. The Shah Hussain Express train reportedly hit a bus carrying a group of Sikh pilgrims at an unmanned railway crossing at around 13:30 (local time). Emergency response operations are ongoing in the area.

Disruption to transport in the area is to be expected over the coming hours and days.
