TIMEFRAME expected from 7/13/2020, 12:00 AM until 7/15/2020, 11:59 PM (Asia/Riyadh). COUNTRY/REGION Saudi Arabia

On Monday, July 13, Saudi air defenses reportedly intercepted and destroyed two Houthi ballistic rockets and six drones laden with explosives targeting Saudi Arabia. As of early Monday morning (local time), it remains unclear whether the rockets and drones were intercepted in Saudi or Yemeni airspace.

Further cross-border attacks are possible over the near term.

Houthi rebels have claimed several missile attacks targeting Saudi facilities and infrastructure since late May 2019. Yemen is engaged in a complex and deadly conflict, ongoing since Houthi rebels entered a civil war with the Yemeni government, supported by a Saudi-led coalition, in 2015.

Individuals in Saudi Arabia are advised to monitor developments to the situation and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
